Until now, the popular drum machines, designed for round bales, have been complimented by the Tomahawk 808, 8080 and 9090 box type shredders with capacities up to 6.0 cubic metres. While these machines can process a single full size Hesston or two 5ft round bales, there has been an ever-increasing demand from larger units and multi-site farms for bigger, higher output machines.

The twin crossbeater Tomahawk 1010 will hold 9.0 cubic metres of clamp silage, three round bales of straw, or two full size Hesston bales. The lower-sided Tomahawk 1005 has a capacity of 6.0 cubic metres of clamp silage, but since it has a single crossbeater, it is also ideally suited for processing baled silage. Its bale capacity is the same as that of the 1010. The overall width of the 1005 model has been kept to a minimum to ensure that it will be as manoeuvrable as possible in tight yards.
    The new model is not simply a stretched version of the 8080 and 9090 models, but has a significantly heavier bed chain and the largest diameter fan available on the market. The fan/crossbeater/conveyor combination has been engineered to give a high output and performance compatible with the size of the machine.
    The Tomahawk 1005 and 1010 will initially be available from December 2010 with the universally popular giraffe chute and slide, but a side-chute model will be available later in the season.
    The 1010 will be equipped as standard with electronic controls, lights, mudguards and a remote tailgate/conveyor switch

8 Cubic Meters Capacity of clamp silage and long enough to hold 3 round bales or 2 rectangular bales.

Model 1010
10 Cubic Meters Capacity of clamp silage and long enough to hold 3 round bales or 2 rectangular bales end to end.
High Sides give massive volume and ensure good containment of tumbling material. Deep enough to stack Quadrant size bales two high - ie: 4 bales capacity!

22 Meters Discharge Distance at 540 PTO speed when spreading straw. The 1.65m diameter fan gives the best performance on the market.

Long Bale Chamber holds three 6ft x 5ft round bales or two 8ft long rectangular bales in one load.
